Pullman & Comley Earns Multiple Honors at 2026 New England Legal Awards

HARTFORD, Conn. (October 9, 2026) – Pullman & Comley attorneys and practice groups received numerous accolades at ALM's 2026 New England Legal Awards, held October 8 at The Westin Copley Place in Boston. The annual awards recognize exceptional achievement across the legal profession in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont, honoring attorneys, law firms, and practice groups that have demonstrated excellence in service, leadership, and results. Four individual attorneys and four practice groups received top honors, with an additional two practice areas named as finalists in their respective categories.

Kelly A. Scott, Chair of the Family Law practice, was named Partner of the Year, recognizing her outstanding leadership, professional accomplishments, and significant contributions to the firm's success. Through her dedication to client service, commitment to the growth of the Family Law practice, and mentorship of colleagues, Kelly has made a lasting impact on both the firm and the clients she serves.

Judge Robert L. Holzberg (Ret.) was honored as Outstanding Officiator for the second consecutive year. Widely respected throughout the region, Judge Holzberg has built a reputation for successfully resolving highly complex and contentious disputes through thoughtful analysis, practical solutions, and a collaborative approach to alternative dispute resolution.

In addition, Stacie L. Provencher, Associate in the Family Law practice, and Matthew Glennon, Member and vice chair of the Business Organizations and Finance practice, were named Rising Stars, a distinction recognizing emerging leaders who have demonstrated excellence in legal acumen, client service, professional involvement, business development, and community engagement.

Pullman & Comley's distinguished Alternative Dispute Resolution practice was once again named Specialty Litigation Department of the Year for excellence in arbitration and mediation. Having previously earned the honor in 2023 and 2025, the award reflects the depth of the firm's ADR team, which includes five retired judges with nearly a century of combined judicial experience as well as attorneys who serve as American Arbitration Association panelists and bring significant litigation and transactional experience to the mediation process.

The firm's Labor & Employment Department was recognized as Litigation Department of the Year, Specialty Category, highlighting its position as one of the region's leading workplace law practices. The team counsels employers on a broad spectrum of labor and employment issues, including litigation, workplace investigations, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day workforce management, delivering practical guidance and strategic advocacy to help clients navigate an increasingly complex employment landscape.

Pullman & Comley's Litigation Department earned Litigation Department of the Year, Specialty Category, Business Litigation, for its exceptional handling of sophisticated commercial disputes and high-stakes business litigation. The department is known for its ability to develop innovative legal strategies and achieve favorable outcomes in complex matters involving contract disputes, business torts, shareholder conflicts, and other significant business controversies.

The firm's Family Law Practice was also recognized as Litigation Department of the Year, Specialty Category, confirming its reputation as one of New England's premier family law groups. The department provides compassionate, sophisticated counsel in complex family matters, helping clients navigate difficult personal and financial challenges with professionalism, discretion, and exceptional legal advocacy.

Further highlighting the firm's depth across practice areas, Pullman & Comley's Environmental Litigation and Appellate departments were both recognized as finalists in the Litigation Department of the Year, Specialty Category competition.

"These awards reflect the exceptional talent, dedication, and collaborative culture that define Pullman & Comley," said Lee Hoffman, Chair. "We are proud of the attorneys and practice groups recognized for their leadership, client service, and commitment to excellence."
