Pullman & Comley Named a 2026 Law360 Connecticut Regional Powerhouse

Pullman & Comley has been recognized as a Law360 Connecticut Regional Powerhouse for 2026, marking the third consecutive year the firm has received this honor. The recognition highlights firms that reflect the strengths of their states and represent clients in deals and cases that receive national attention. Pullman & Comley is one of three firms in Connecticut to qualify for this distinction.

Among the accomplishments Law360 highlighted in its 2026 profile on Pullman & Comley were the firm's role as lead bond counsel for a record-setting university financing, helping a Connecticut municipality negotiate a memorandum of understanding addressing community concerns related to a major airport expansion, and helping Connecticut and its utilities implement a sophisticated securitization structure for rate reduction bonds to cover storm-related expenses.

Lee D. Hoffman, chair of Pullman & Comley, noted the broader impact of the firm's public finance work, saying, “We are doing something that will have, I think, significant economic benefits to individual homeowners as well as Connecticut businesses. The Law360 article also recognized the strength of Pullman & Comley's corporate practice, highlighting the firm's work helping businesses navigate growth, disruption, and transition — including securing financing to fuel a client's exponential growth and helping another client restructure a broad portfolio of cross-border supply contracts after tariffs destabilized critical supply chains.

Lee and Gary O’Connor, co-chair of the Real Estate, Energy, Environmental Law and Land Use practice, were appointed to a working group tasked by state agencies with evaluating and refining the rollout of new state regulations covering the reporting and remediation of industrial pollution.

The article also highlighted the firm's longstanding commitment to public service. Among those who have left private practice to serve as public officials are Campbell Barrett, who was confirmed as a Connecticut Superior Court judge this year; Erick Russell, Connecticut State Treasurer; Alex Hernandez, a Connecticut Superior Court judge; and Andrew McDonald, a justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court.
