SEMINAR: Attorney David Atkins to Present at APRL Conference

Attorney David P. Atkins, chair of the firm's Litigation Department and Professional Liability Section, was a featured speaker at the annual meeting of the national Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers (APRL) on February 6, 2016. The three-day conference was held in conjunction with the mid-year meeting of the American Bar Association.  APRL sponsors twice yearly meetings with continuing legal education programs on topics relating to lawyers professional liability, lawyer discipline and the "law of lawyering."

David presented at a program entitled "Subpoenas to Lawyers: An Ethical Duty to Resist?" It addressed questions relating to the duties of a lawyer or law firm in responding to a subpoena for client records.
