PRESS RELEASE: Cara Ann Ceraso and Brion J. Kirsch Named Members at Pullman & Comley, LLC

BRIDGEPORT, Conn., January 11, 2013:  Pullman & Comley, LLC has named attorneys Cara Ann Ceraso and Brion J. Kirsch as members of the firm, the law firm reported today.

Cara practices in the firm’s Litigation Department in the area of commercial litigation in both state and federal courts in New York and Connecticut.  She represents insurers and insured in coverage disputes, including title insurance coverage disputes, third party coverage disputes, environment and toxic tort coverage litigation.  Cara also represents clients in matters related to unfair trade practices, land use, breach of fiduciary duty and mechanics liens foreclosures.  Cara joined Pullman & Comley as an associate in 2007.

As an active member of the legal community in Fairfield County, Cara is the co-chair of the Insurance Coverage Section of the Fairfield County Bar Association and co-chair of the Young Lawyers for WESFACCA.  She is also a member of the American Bar Association; Connecticut Bar Association; Greater Bridgeport Bar Association and the Federal Bar Council.  Cara is on the Corporate Leadership Council for the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women and has been rated AV Preeminent, the highest rating by Martindale-Hubbell. Cara received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2004 and received her B.A. from Boston College in 2001, where she was awarded sophomore standing.

Brion practices in the Real Estate and Commercial Law Department and represents businesses, business owners, financial institutions and other types of lenders and investors, landlords, tenants, corporations, franchisees and developers on local, regional and national levels in a wide range of matters relating to real estate and financing.  He also represents clients in secured and unsecured financing transactions; construction and term financing, collateralized mortgage backed securities and other commercial litigation matters.  Brion has experience with the Connecticut Transfer Act and the Connecticut Common Interest Ownership Act and local lenders, national lenders and borrowers in connection with numerous loan transactions, including structuring, closing and restructuring a wide range of commercial mortgage loans. Brion joined the firm in 2006.

Brion is a member of  the American Bar Association; the Connecticut Bar Association, where he serves on the Real Property Executive Committee and in the Young Lawyers Section; the Massachusetts Bar Association; the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. 

Brion received his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2003.  While at the Roger Williams University School of Law he worked with the State of Rhode Island Department of the Attorney General as a prosecutor in its district court division.  He received his B.A. from Bryant College in 2000.
