PRESS RELEASE: Fred Klein Re-elected President Of Connecticut Power and Energy Society

HARTFORD, CT,:    Frederic Klein, chair of Pullman & Comley’s Energy and Utilities practice has been reelected as president of the Connecticut Power & Energy Society (CPES), the law firm announced today.

“I’m enthusiastic about continuing my role of serving the CT Power and Energy Society,” says Mr. Klein.  “Connecticut has taken a progressive stance on energy.  One of our key initiatives of working to develop alternative energy resources will serve us all in future years.”

Fred Klein has wide-ranging experience in energy and utility matters, including regulation of electric utilities and natural gas pipelines, licensing of hydroelectric facilities, power plant development and transactions in regulated and competitive markets.  Prior to joining Pullman & Comley, Fred worked for 20 years in the legal department of Northeast Utilities, where he served as assistant general counsel for 12 years.  Before Northeast Utilities,  he was in private practice in Washington, D.C., and served in the Office of General Counsel at the Federal Energy Regulation Commission.  Fred received his B.S. with honors in power systems engineering, from Northeastern University and received his J.D. from Boston College Law School.  He is a resident of Marlborough, Connecticut.
