The recent Connecticut legislative session saw the adoption of major property tax measures including the regional sharing of property tax revenue, restructuring of the unpopular tax on motor vehicles and a revamping of the payment in lieu of taxes (PILOT) program.  Several long-standing exemptions have been scaled back while newer ones have been expanded.  Even the experiment with the land value tax has been given new life.
