Attorneys Michael McKeon, Mark Sommaruga and Zachary Schurin To Speak at 2014 CABE/CAPSS Convention

LR-PencilPullman & Comley School Law attorneys Michael McKeon, Zachary D. Schurin and Mark Sommaruga will speak at the annual Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE) and Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents (CAPSS) 2014 convention, the theme of which is: "Public Education in 2027: Courageous Leadership Teams." In the Section B Workshop, Mark -- the author of Understanding the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act -- will discuss the Act, particularly issues pertaining to public meetings and public records. In the Section D Workshop, Mike will review the legal contours of school board member speech. Finally, in the Session E Workshop, Mark and Zach will team up and speak about magnet and charter schools and the effect of alternative educational providers.
