Family Law Attorney Kelly A. Scott Named a James W. Cooper Fellow

BRIDGEPORT, CT, March 31, 2021: Kelly A. Scott, a member of the Family Law practice at Pullman & Comley, LLC has been named to the Connecticut Bar Foundation’s James W. Cooper Fellows Class of 2021, an honor bestowed upon outstanding Connecticut lawyers, judges, and teachers of law.

“Kelly is a talented and tireless lawyer who devotes her time and expertise to best serve her clients’ needs,” says Campbell D. Barrett, Chair of Pullman’s Family Law practice “To be recognized as a James W. Cooper Fellow is a great honor, and it further solidifies Kelly as a rising star in the legal community.”

Representing clients in all areas of matrimonial and family law, including prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, dissolution, custody and visitation petitions and post judgment matters, Kelly works with clients to understand and implement their goals from the outset.  She is actively involved in the legal community and currently chairs the Professional Responsibility Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association Young Lawyers Section Executive Committee. She is also a past co-chair of the CBA Family Law Committee.

Kelly is a member of the Gala Committee for the Children's Law Center and a Special Master for family matters in the Fairfield Judicial District. She has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star each year since 2018.  Kelly received her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, with honors, and her B.A. from Fordham University.

The Fellows Program is named in honor of James W. Cooper, who was a prominent New Haven attorney and president of the CBF from 1973-75 and the CBA in 1957-58. The mission of the Fellows is to “develop programs that enhance understanding of the legal profession, the legal system, and the role of law in society; explore ways to improve the administration of justice for the benefit of all; and promote the highest ideals of the legal profession.”
