Monte E. Frank Selected to Serve on NCBP Executive Council

BRIDGEPORT, Conn., September 7, 2017: Members of the National Conference of Bar Presidents (NCBP) Nominating Committee have selected five bar leaders from across the country to serve on the NCBP Executive Council for the 2017-2020 term, including Monte E. Frank, past president of the Connecticut Bar Association. In addition, Aurora Austriaco, past president of the Chicago Bar Association, was selected to serve as the organization’s Secretary, a position that will move to the group’s President in 2020.

NCBP was established in 1950 to provide information and training to state and local bar association leaders. The current organizational members of NCBP include state, local and special focus bars from 53 states and territories.

Twenty people serve on the NCBP Executive Council, including fifteen at-large Council members, and the Executive Officers, made up of the Secretary, Treasurer, President-elect, President and Immediate Past President. Council members are elected on a staggered schedule.

Mr. Frank, a member of the Litigation Department at Pullman & Comley, LLC, represents business and municipal clients in the state and federal courts in Connecticut and before administrative agencies on a wide range of matters. He regularly represents clients in mediation and arbitration in Connecticut and other states.

Mr. Frank is the immediate past president of both the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) and the New England Bar Association. He previously served as president-elect and vice-president of the CBA and currently represents Connecticut in the American Bar Association's House of Delegates. He has served as an attorney trial referee, factfinder and arbitrator for the Judicial District of Danbury since 2000.

Below is a list of the newly elected Board members and returning incumbents. Their selection was confirmed by a vote of the NCBP members during the organization’s Annual Meeting on Saturday, August 12, 2017.
