PRESS RELEASE: Jessica Grossarth Named Member at Pullman & Comley, LLC

BRIDGEPORT, Conn.:  Pullman & Comley, LLC has named attorney Jessica Grossarth as a member of the firm.

Jessica practices in the firm’s Litigation Department in the areas of bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, representing debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, creditors’ committees and trustees in formal bankruptcy proceedings and out of court workouts.  She has been involved in a variety of bankruptcy proceedings and has appeared in the District of Connecticut and the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and has participated in numerous bankruptcy appeals to the Federal District Courts.   Jessica joined Pullman & Comley in 2002, and currently is co-chair of the firm’s Orientation Committee and serves as a member of the firm’s Recruiting and Diversity committees.  She is based in the firm’s Bridgeport office.

An active member of the legal community in Fairfield County, Jessica is the founder and chair of the Young Bankruptcy Lawyers Group; a member of the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Connecticut Bar Association;  the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association;  the American Bankruptcy Institute; and the Turnaround Management Association.  She also is an officer and member of the board of directors of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation.  Jessica was named to the Super Lawyers  "Connecticut Rising Stars 2011" list in the area of Bankruptcy and Creditor/Debtor Rights.  In 2010, she received the “40 Under 40” award from the Fairfield County Business Journal, an honor given to individuals under 40 who have distinguished themselves within business and the community in Fairfield County. 

Jessica received her J.D. from the Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2001 and her B.A. from Fairfield University in 1998.  While at Fairfield University, Jessica was a member of the women’s Division I basketball team and upon graduation earned a trip to San Francisco to try out professionally for the American Basketball League.  In 2005, she was inducted into Fairfield University’s Athletic Hall of Fame.  She received several academic honors at Quinnipiac University including Distinguished Academic Achievement Awards in criminal law and trial practice and the Academic Excellence Award.
