Christopher P. McCormack Appointed to Trumbull Conservation Commission

BRIDGEPORT, Conn., February 23, 2018: Christopher P. McCormack, a partner with Pullman & Comley, LLC, was appointed to the Town of Trumbull Conservation Commission by Trumbull First Selectman Vicki A. Tesoro.

The Conservation Commission is a science-based advisory commission that oversees the protection and supervision of natural resources in Trumbull. It acts in an advisory capacity to the town's regulatory land use boards, and also makes recommendations regarding open-space, watershed plans, and natural resource preservation. 

Mr. McCormack practices in the areas of environmental law and commercial litigation. His environmental law practice includes litigation of liability and cost recovery actions including lead counsel responsibility for Superfund site coalitions, as well as enforcement defense and administrative proceedings.  He also has extensive experience with environmental aspects of corporate and real estate transactions.  His litigation practice includes prosecution and defense of commercial litigation matters involving contract and business loss claims, commercial torts and unfair trade practices for clients in manufacturing, computer equipment, insurance and the professional services sectors.  

Mr. McCormack served as Chair of the Environmental Section of the Connecticut Bar Association from 2015 to 2017 and is the Section's Legislative Liaison. He has served as member and Membership Secretary of ASTM Committee E50 on Environmental Assessment and Risk Management, and chairs the Task Group for ASTM Standard E1903-11 on Phase II Environmental Site Assessments. He also participated in revision of ASTM's industry-standard practice for Phase I site assessments. Mr. McCormack has written and lectured extensively on environmental site assessment issues.  He received his B.A. from Yale University; an M.A. from the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester; and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
