Attorney Jonathan B. Orleans Discussed Status of Suspended FLSA

Pullman & Comley attorney Jonathan B. Orleans, Chair of the Labor, Employment Law practice, was a presenter for the program, "FLSA: Where Are We Now," sponsored by the Connecticut Business & Industry Association's HR Council program on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.

Jon and his co-presenter, Carol Kardas of human resources consulting firm Kardas Larson, discussed the consequences of the federal court injunction against the new FLSA overtime rule, which was proposed by the Obama administration.  They reviewed possible outcomes of the litigation, the politics of the proposed rule in the Trump administration, the directions your compliance efforts may take, and the legal employee-relations risks presented by wage and hour law more generally.
