Attorney Jonathan A. Kaplan Provides Overview of Electronic Evidence For CLE

Pullman & Comley attorney Jonathan A. Kaplan, a member in the firm's Litigation practice, was a co-presenter for the Connecticut Bar Association Litigation Section's CLE, "Advanced Evidence Issues: ESI, Social Media, and Cellphones" on Friday, March 31, 2017.

The widespread use of technology and social media has made electronically stored information a pervasive source of evidence for litigators. Attorney Kaplan reviewed the landscape of E-discovery and electronic evidence in the courtroom.  The panel explored evidence derived from different social media platforms with a focus on its most effective use in litigation. The program also examined cellular data analysis, widely used in criminal and civil cases, to “place” a person at a particular location based on cell phone usage.
