Monte Frank and Portia Baudisch to Present at the 9th Annual Connecticut Bankruptcy Conference
Pullman & Comley attorneys Monte E. Frank and Portia M. Baudisch will present individual programs at the Connecticut Bar Association’s 9th Annual Bankruptcy Conference. The annual conference brings together bankruptcy practitioners and other legal professionals for a full day of programming focused on current issues and developments in bankruptcy law and practice.
Portia’s panel, “Bankruptcy Exceptionalism: Are These Courts of Law or Equity—or Both?” will take place in the Prince Edward Ballroom from 11:25 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. and will explore the unique role of bankruptcy courts and the interplay between law and equity in bankruptcy proceedings. Portia will be co-presenting with Chief Judge Alan S. Trust (Ret.) of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York and Brian Remondino of Shipman & Goodwin.
Monte will take part in the luncheon plenary session, “Practical Application of Artificial Intelligence for Business and Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers,” will take place in the Waterford Room from 1:10 p.m. to 2:10 p.m. The panel will discuss the practical use of artificial intelligence in legal practice, including its advantages and potential pitfalls. Attendees will gain an understanding of the practical, proper and advantageous use of AI in their legal practice. Monte’s session will be co-presented with Hon. Christopher J. Panos of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts and Stacey Lantagne of Suffolk University.
