Lee Hoffman to Speak on Redevelopment and Energy Storage Projects at BCONE's 2026 Northeast Sustainable Communities Workshop

MGM Springfield, Springfield, MA

Pullman & Comley Chair and Energy and Environmental Attorney Lee D. Hoffman will join two panel discussions at the Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast’s (BCONE) 2026 Northeast Sustainable Communities Workshop in Springfield, Massachusetts. The annual workshop brings together energy and environmental leaders and changemakers to explore innovative approaches to brownfield redevelopment, sustainable funding strategies, and emerging environmental challenges such as PFAS and microplastics.

Lee’s first panel, “Developer's Roundtable,” with Melina Ambrosino of The Cherrytree Group and Richard Beliveau of EVO Real Estate Group, will feature an interactive discussion on the legal, financial, and development challenges involved in redevelopment projects, with audience-driven questions focused on deal structuring, compliance, financing, and real-world project hurdles.

Lee’s second panel, “Changing the Narrative: From NIMBY to YIMBY in Energy Storage,” with Todd Berman of Avangrid and moderated by Bernardo Escudero of LaBella Associates, will examine the regulatory, infrastructure, financing, and community engagement challenges impacting energy storage projects, as well as strategies for navigating approvals and building public support.
