Rising to the Challenge: An Open Discussion of Various Community Based Organizations Continuing Successful Operations in the Midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic

Doing More Together (DMT) Virtual Program
10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. EDT

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a devastating impact on nonprofits and has highlighted the deep social inequities that many of these organizations are working to address. Our group of panelists from Connecticut nonprofits discussed how they have successfully weathered the storm of the health and economic crisis, and have continued to provide impactful services and resources to people in our community.

They provided insight on how nonprofits should prioritize and assess their social impact and financial viability in order to continue to provide critical services and operations during the pandemic.

In addition, Robert Hinton of Pullman & Comley conducted a fireside chat with Jay Williams, President & CEO of The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, where Jay shared his insights on the impact of the pandemic, the Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund, and how the foundation is addressing the disparities in our region.
