Greg Servodidio, Elliott Pollack, Michael Marafito and Ryan Schaitkin to Speak on Connecticut Property Tax Trends and Topics

Pullman & Comley Property Tax attorneys Gregory Servodidio, CRE, Elliott Pollack, Michael Marafito, and Ryan Schaitkin will lead a course on Connecticut property tax trends, offering an overview of recent legal and regulatory developments affecting property valuation and taxation across the state for the Connecticut Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, a professional association of real estate appraisers. The program will provide practical insights for real estate appraisers and other professionals involved in property assessment and management.

Topics will include:

• New laws of interest to appraisers from the General Assembly’s 2025 legislative session
• Recent property tax, eminent domain, and property valuation decisions from the Connecticut Supreme, Appellate, and Superior Courts, with a particular focus on the Tax Court
• Real estate valuation implications of the Visual Artists Rights Act (VARA), which increasingly affects building owners who have allowed artists to create art on or in their properties
