Foreclosures: What's on the Horizon and How to Face It

Brion J. Kirsch
Fairfield County Business Journal

Brion Kirsch, an attorney in Pullman & Comley's Real Estate department, writes about the implications of the Congressional Oversight Panel's February report, "Commercial Real Estate Losses and the Risk to Financial Stability," which expressed concern that commercial real estate loan losses over the next four years could jeopardize the stability of many banks, particularly community banks, and the economy in general.    The article covers what businesses -- lenders, borrowers, property managers and tenants -- can expect going forward, and some of the steps they can take now to head off future problems.
