PRESS RELEASE: Irve J. Goldman Recertified As A Business Bankruptcy Law Specialist By The American Board of Certification Standards

BRIDGEPORT, CT: Attorney Irve J. Goldman of Pullman & Comley, LLC has recently been recertified as a Business Bankruptcy Law Specialist by the American Board of Certification (ABC).  With more than 20 years of continued service in the bankruptcy and creditors’ rights law field, Irve was one of the first two attorneys in Connecticut to receive this certification in July 1193 and has been continuously recertified since that time.

ABC’s programs are designed to identify and recognize those attorneys in consumer or business bankruptcy who have met or exceeded rigorous certification standards relating to experience, continued legal education, integrity and peer review, in addition to demonstrating a sophisticated understanding of the law in their specialty area.  ABC certification also serves the public by providing meaningful information to those seeking legal services

Irve is a member of the Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights practice at Pullman & Comley.  He was one of the first attorneys in Connecticut to become a certified specialist in business bankruptcy and has represented a diversity of interests in bankruptcy proceedings, including companies reorganizing under Chapter 11, secured creditors, equipment lessors, franchisees, landlords and other creditor groups and asset purchasers in 363 sales.

In addition to his bankruptcy experience, Irve has handled a wide variety of commercial disputes in both state and federal court, including actions involving civil RICO, breach of fiduciary duty, other business torts and debtor-creditor issues.  Irve has served as a Chapter 11 Trustee, and is a frequent author on topical bankruptcy issues.  For the past 13 years, he was awarded the highest peer review rating (AV) by Martindale-Hubbard and since 2006 was selected to the Connecticut Super Lawyers list in the areas of bankruptcy and creditor/debtor rights.  Irve received his B.B.A. from Temple University and his J.D., from Western New England University School of Law.
