Lee Hoffman Named a 2026 Power 50 by the Hartford Business Journal
Pullman & Comley Chair Lee D. Hoffman, who also is a member in the Firm’s Energy and Environmental practice, has been recognized by the Hartford Business Journal (HBJ) as one of its “2026 Power 50,” honoring the most influential leaders shaping Connecticut’s business landscape.
Featured in a HBJ article recognizing his inclusion in the “2026 Power 50,” Lee is highlighted for representing developers, municipalities, and utilities before the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority and the Connecticut Siting Council, with experience spanning facility siting, transmission infrastructure, telecommunications, cable franchise renewals, and project finance.
In the article, Lee emphasized that effective leadership today requires adaptability and openness in the face of rapid change, particularly as emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence continue to reshape industries.
“The ability to take in information from as many sides of an issue as possible, leave your ego at the door and listen as you try to develop consensus on a response, separates the truly effective leaders from others,” Lee said.
He highlighted Connecticut’s competitive advantage, noting that its position between major metropolitan areas fosters a mentality that drives innovation and enhances quality of life. Looking ahead, he emphasized the importance of expanding technical education to strengthen the state’s economy, citing workforce shortages in aerospace and advanced manufacturing industries and the need to grow capacity within the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System.
The article notes that under Lee’s leadership, Pullman & Comley has earned national and regional recognition, including being named a 2025 Inc. Power Partner, a Law360 Regional Powerhouse for the second consecutive year, and a Hartford Business Journal Best Places to Work in Connecticut.
