Zachary Schurin and Mark Sommaruga to Speak on School Climate Plans at CAS Seminar

Pullman & Comley School Law attorneys Zachary D. Schurin and Mark J. Sommaruga will present at the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) on recent developments in school climate law. Their presentation, “Legal Session: What Leaders Need to Know about School Climate Plans,” will provide an overview of the school bullying legal landscape with particular focus on the new school climate new requirements that all Connecticut districts must now follow effective with the 2025-26 school year.  The session will include a review of recent court decisions involving school bullying claims and discuss best practices for implementation of the model Connecticut School Climate Policy and form as well as proactive use of climate surveys.
