Michael Kurs to Present on Recent Initiatives Announced by the FTC and DOJ

Pullman & Comley Attorney Michael A. Kurs will present at the Connecticut Bar Association Antitrust and Trade Regulation Section Meeting on March 16 via Zoom. Mike will cover the significant recent initiatives announced by the Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division, including:

  • FTC Proposed Trade Regulation Rule to Eliminate Employee Non-Compete Agreements;
  • Adoption by the FTC of a New Policy Statement That Seeks to Expand the Unfair Method of Competition Authority of the Commission Under Section 5 of the FTC Act;
  • DOJ’s Criminal Enforcement of Section 2 of the Sherman Act Regarding Both Monopolization and Attempted Monopolization; and
  • Elimination of Several Antitrust Enforcement Guidance Documents, Including the 1996 Antitrust Enforcement Guidelines in Health Care.
