Mark Sommaruga to Present Workshop on Understanding Connecticut's FOIA

Pullman & Comley School Law attorney Mark J. Sommaruga will be a presenter at the 2024 CABE/CAPSS Convention. This annual conference run by the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE) and the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents (CAPSS) offers Connecticut board of education members and superintendents a series of general sessions and workshops designed to equip them with the knowledge needed to prepare students for success.

Mark will provide updated guidance to board of education members and school administrators on navigating the FOIA in a workshop titled "Understanding Connecticut's Freedom of Information Act (Including Recent Updates)." The workshop will cover FOIA open meetings, public records requirements, and many exceptions that are often misconstrued.

The convention will take place on November 15-16.
