Greg Servodidio to Speak on Best Practices for Property Tax Paperwork at a CTCPA Webinar
Pullman & Comley’s Property Tax and Valuation Chair Gregory F. Servodidio, CRE, will present at the Connecticut Society of CPAs (CTCPA) webinar "Property Tax Paperwork Perfected: Mastering the Big Three Forms." CPAs are often called on to help clients navigate property tax filings that have significant impact on their taxes. This session will provide practical guidance on completing the three most important forms: Income & Expense (I&E) statements, Personal Property Declarations (PPDs), and the nonprofit quadrennial Form M-3, each of which plays a critical role in determining assessments and exemptions.
Key objectives include:
- List the required filings for rental property owners, businesses, and nonprofits, and their deadlines
- Explain how I&E forms are used in property tax assessments
- Describe the purpose and filing requirements of PPDs and exemptions
- Summarize the role of the quadrennial Form M-3 for nonprofits
- Analyze risks of inaccurate or incomplete filings and recommend strategies to avoid adverse outcomes
