Pullman & Comley Attorney Campbell D. Barrett Confirmed as Connecticut Superior Court Judge
HARTFORD May 5, 2026: The law firm of Pullman & Comley congratulates Attorney Campbell D. Barrett on his nomination by Governor Ned Lamont and confirmation by the General Assembly to serve on the Connecticut Superior Court. He was one of 12 judicial nominees that were confirmed by the General Assembly today.

Campbell has been a Member at Pullman & Comley since joining the firm in 2015. Prior to his selection to the bench, Campbell co-chaired Pullman & Comley’s Family Law and Appellate Practice groups, both of which have been named "Department of the Year" by the Connecticut Law Tribune. He has represented clients in complex, high-income, high-net worth cases across Connecticut and has handled all aspects of family law, including asset division, alimony, child custody, child support, appeals, prenuptial agreements and postnuptial agreements. He has acted as lead counsel on more than sixty appeals to the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts, including many important cases of first impression.
Campbell is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and served as the president of the Connecticut Chapter in 2019. In 2023 and 2024, he was recognized by Super Lawyers as one of the Top 10 lawyers in Connecticut and has also been selected multiple times as a Top 50 Connecticut Super Lawyer and a Top 100 New England Super Lawyer. Best Lawyers has named him "Family Lawyer of the Year" for Hartford County in 2018, 2020, 2022, 2024 and 2026. In 2025, he earned a Band 1 ranking in the Chambers Family/Matrimonial: High Net Worth Guide. Earlier in his career, Campbell received the Judge Maxwell Heiman Award from the Hartford County Bar Association in 2005. Campbell presently serves on both the Connecticut Bar Examining Committee and the Connecticut Child Support Guideline Commission.
Campbell received his B.A. degree from Trinity College and his J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law.
