Pullman & Comley Recognized as a 2026 Best Place to Work by the Hartford Business Journal
HARTFORD, CT February 20, 2026 - Pullman & Comley has been named one of the 2026 Best Places to Work by the Hartford Business Journal, an annual recognition honoring Connecticut organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to fostering positive and engaging workplace environments.
The firm will be recognized among other honorees at an event hosted by the Hartford Business Journal on March 5, at the Aqua Turf Club in the Plantsville section of Southington.
Pullman & Comley was recognized for cultivating a culture where professional excellence and collegiality go hand in hand. The firm emphasizes meaningful recognition of employee accomplishments, ongoing professional development, and opportunities for growth.
Over the past year, the firm has been recognized for its excellence and influence as a leading business and legal organization in the region, earning its second consecutive recognition in 2025 as a Law360 Connecticut Regional Powerhouse, an honor reflecting its size, scope, and impact within the state’s legal market. Five Pullman attorneys were recognized at the NE Legal Awards, which spotlight individuals making a meaningful mark in the regional legal community, and the firm was also named a 2025 Inc. Power Partner, celebrating its track record of supporting entrepreneurs and helping startups grow.
Beyond its professional accomplishments, Pullman & Comley promotes connection and camaraderie across its offices. Longstanding traditions such as the Animosity Bowl (a friendly football game between partners and associates) and the firm’s softball team create meaningful opportunities for team building outside the practice of law.
In addition, giving back has always been a central to the firm’s ethos. Through its Outreach Committee, which organizes monthly service projects, employees regularly team up to support organizations across Connecticut and western Massachusetts. Last year, the Pullman team assisted underserved communities through service projects at CT Foodshare and community kitchens, packed health and personal care supplies for women in need, participated in neighborhood cleanup efforts, and volunteered in classroom reading programs that included book donations to Bridgeport and Hartford Schools.
Pullman & Comley’s pro bono work reflects the firm’s long-standing commitment to legal excellence and public service. Attorneys are encouraged to take on matters that help individuals and nonprofit organizations who might otherwise lack access to legal representation, regularly supporting cases that assist veterans and victims of domestic violence. In 2024, the firm was honored as Volunteer of the Year by Pro Bono Partnership, a nonprofit that connects skilled attorneys with other nonprofits providing critical social and community services across Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York.
The firm’s ongoing commitment to expanding access within the legal profession also contributed to its recognition. Through initiatives such as the Early Career Initiative, Pullman & Comley provides mentorship and professional development opportunities to first-year law students from underserved populations, helping to cultivate a broader and more inclusive pipeline of future legal professionals.
