Sebastian D'Acunto Featured on NBC Connecticut for National Make a Will Month
As part of National Make-A-Will Month in August, Sebastian D'Acunto, vice chair of Pullman & Comley's Trusts and Estates practice, was interviewed by NBC Connecticut for a segment that aired September 2, titled “The Importance of Having a Will to Help Family After Passing Away.” During the interview, Sebastian emphasized the importance of having a properly drafted last will and testament, addressed why spouses need separate wills, outlined the challenges families may face when a loved one dies intestate, and cautioned viewers about the limitations and risks of using AI and online estate planning tools.
Sebastian also encouraged viewers not to postpone estate planning. Creating a will can make the administration of an estate significantly smoother and help ensure loved ones are cared for, and assets are distributed according to the deceased person's wishes, rather than default legal rules.
