IN THE NEWS: Pullman & Comley Attorney Speaks About Environmental Law as Growth Area

Pullman & Comley attorney Lee D. Hoffman was quoted extensively in "Movement Has Firms Seeing Green," an article by Douglas Malan which appeared in the 9/8/2008 issue of the Connecticut Law Tribune, which discusses why several Connecticut firms are sensing a bull market in environmental law.

In the article, Hoffman says that increased awareness concerning environmental issues and energy efficiency will cause environmental law to "be a growth area in the near and long-term future."

He goes on to describe how, at Pullman & Comley, the environmental and energy sections have expanded rapidly in the last five years, and that the firm's energy practice has quadrupled in revenue in that time while the environmental practice has doubled. Pullman & Comley now has 10 lawyers working in one or both areas of the law out of a firm wide total of 80 lawyers. "That's a pretty substantial part of the population," he said.
