Diane Whitney Comments on Environmental Protection Act

The Hartford Business Journal

Pullman & Comley attorney Diane Whitney was cited in an article in The Hartford Business Journal about law 22a-19, part of the landmark Connecticut Environmental Protection Act which allows any individual to intervene on an administrative proceeding if they feel there are concerns that a development will negatively impact the environment.

In the article, "Developers Target Intervenor Rules," reporter Greg Bordonaro discusses how the law can cause projects to be tied up in the court system for years.  According to Diane, “We hope to put some standards and time frames in place so that you can’t come to the last public hearing and allege environmental concerns that are going to kill an application."
