Alan Parker Quoted in Hartford Business Journal Article on Navigating the Great Wealth Transfer

Chair of Pullman & Comley's Trusts and Estates practice Alan S. Parker was quoted in a recent Hartford Business Journal article on managing wealth in the midst of changing tax laws, such as federal estate and gift tax exemptions that are scheduled to sunset on January 1, 2026.

Alan points out that while 2026 seemed a long ways off when the federal law changed in 2017, now the date is coming up more quickly. "If these high-net-worth individuals aren't planning their estates appropriately, they may lose out on an opportunity if they don't act before 2026. It’s important that clients are educated on what assets they have, the rules on income and wealth transfer, and what they want to do with their money."
