SEMINAR: Safeguarding Against Cyber Attacks on Payment Processes

Corporate Account Takeover and Automated Clearing House Fraud

Scott Cowperthwait, an attorney in the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Practice at Pullman & Comley, spoke at this sector-specific training program conducted by the Banking and Finance Sector of the InfraGard Connecticut Members Alliance.  The program focused on cyber attacks against payment processes and issues surrounding corporate account takeover and data security in the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network.  It provided a forum for representatives from the business, IT and banking and finance communities, among others, to exchange information and network with other industry professionals, to share best practices, to find out about threats and recent trends and to gain insight into the legal and investigative trends concerning cyber attacks against payment processes.
