Pullman & Comley Names Jill D. Bicks a Member of the Firm

BRIDGEPORT, Conn.:  Pullman & Comley, LLC has named attorney Jill D. Bicks as a member of the firm, the law firm reported today.

Ms. Bicks practices in the area of domestic relations, including pre- and post-nuptial agreements, divorce, child custody, the representation of minor children as attorney or guardian ad litem (GAL), and post-judgment enforcement or modification. She possesses a solid background in litigation and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and Collaborative Divorce, and is recognized for providing clients with services tailored to meet their individual and family needs. Ms. Bicks’ experience also includes handling complex litigation in a variety of areas including antitrust, securities fraud, ERISA and RICO.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Bicks represented victims of domestic violence. She served as Founder and Executive Director of Child Advocates of Connecticut, a nonprofit authorized by the Connecticut Judicial Branch that trains court-appointed volunteers, and directed a program in the Stamford Court for volunteer GALs.  Today, she continues her work as an advocate for children and serves as a consultant to the hit HBO series “Divorce” starring Sarah Jessica Parker.

A frequent speaker, Ms. Bicks educates women on the legal, financial and emotional issues of divorce and the numerous details of the divorce process. In 2017, she presented a divorce-focused workshop for the Women’s Institute for Financial Education (WIFE) and spoke on a panel for the National Association of Professional Women on the “Art of Negotiating.” She will participate in a panel of Pullman & Comley women attorneys on the “Secrets of a Successful Negotiation” at the Moffly Media Women In Business event in May.

Ms. Bicks is an active member of the Connecticut Collaborative Divorce Group and the Regional Academy of Child Advocates. She is also a member of the Family Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Guardian Ad Litem sections of both the Fairfield County Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association, and a member of the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys and the New York Peace Institute.  She was selected by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys as one of Connecticut’s “Ten Best” attorneys in 2015 and 2016.   Ms. Bicks received her B.S. from the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations and her J.D. from the New York University School of Law.
