PRESS RELEASE: Pullman & Comley Attorney John F. Stafstrom, Jr. Inducted into Junior Achievement of Western Connecticut's Hall of Fame

BRIDGEPORT, Connecticut:  Pullman & Comley attorney, John F. Stafstrom, Jr., was inducted into the Junior Achievement of Western Connecticut’s Free Enterprise Hall of Fame on October 4 at the Holiday Inn in Bridgeport.

More than 260 local Junior Achievement supporters, including Senator Richard Blumenthal, attended the banquet where Mr. Stafstrom, and three other prestigious business leaders were honored.  The others inductees were Jack Barnes, President & CEO of People's United Bank; Traci Morris, CEO of Brookfield Global Relocation Services; and Philip White, CEO of Better Packages.

"Our Hall of Fame inductees are successful business and community role models who demonstrate leadership, entrepreneurial spirit and community caring to our Junior Achievement students," said Bernadine Venditto, President, Junior Achievement of Western CT.

Mr. Stafstrom is chair of the Pullman & Comley’s Government Finance practice and is experienced in  government and municipal law, commercial finance and commercial transactions, and has drafted significant legislation in the public finance area.  He is actively involved in the Bridgeport community and serves on the P.T. Barnum Foundation, Inc.’s board of directors; and the Norma Pfriem Urban Outreach Initiative’s board of directors.  He is a member of the board of directors and serves as vice chairman for the Bridgeport Regional Business Council’s Government Relations Committee.  He also served as the 2013 Ringmaster for Bridgeport’s annual Barnum Festival.  Mr. Stafstrom is founder of Career Resources, Inc. and serves on the National Leadership Council of Lambda Legal.  He is a former four-term member of the Bridgeport City Council. 

Proceeds from the event support Junior Achievement of Western Connecticut programs that will reach more than 22,600 students in 96 schools this school year.
