BRIDGEPORT, Conn., September 2, 2014:   Attorney George J. Kasper of Pullman & Comley, LLC is one of ten people who have been appointed to serve on the newly-created Connecticut Retirement Security Board, the law firm reported today.

Chaired by state Treasurer Denise Nappier and state Comptroller Kevin Lembo, the board was created under new legislation signed into law this past May by Governor Dannel P. Malloy to establish a statewide retirement plan open to private-sector workers.  Comprised of employees, employers, investment experts and representatives from the governor’s office, the board is responsible for researching and developing for the Legislators’ consideration a comprehensive proposal for a state-sponsored retirement savings program that provides a guaranteed rate of return, universal access and portability, and low administration costs.
