PRESS RELEASE: Pullman & Comley Chairman Admitted to American College of Trial Lawyers

BRIDGEPORT, Conn.: James T. Shearin, Chairman of Pullman & Comley, LLC, has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America, the law firm announced today.  The induction ceremony took place on Saturday, March 8, 2014 during the 2014 Spring Meeting of the College in La Quinta, California.

Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada.  Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality.  Lawyers must have a minimum of fifteen years trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship.

Mr. Shearin, who is known as Tim, was named Chairman of Pullman & Comley in September, 2013, and chaired the Litigation Department from 1995 until 2013.  He has wide-ranging experience in federal and state courts, at both the trial and appellate levels, and before arbitration and mediation boards representing clients in the areas of commercial and business, intellectual property, internet piracy and computer crimes, banking, securities, antitrust, products liability and general civil litigation.
