PRESS RELEASE: Pullman & Comley Attorney Richard C. Robinson Receives Hebrew Health Care Trustee Award

HARTFORD, Conn., November 15, 2013: Pullman & Comley attorney Richard C. Robinson was recently recognized with the Georgette Koopman Trustee Award for Excellence at theHebrew Health Care (HHC) annual meeting and installation event, the law firm announced today.

A non-profit, non-sectarian health care provider that features a spectrum of services dedicated to caring for Greater Hartford’s elderly, HHC hosts the annual awards ceremony to celebrate the organization’s events, programs and the relationships they have formed since the start of the organization more than 110 years ago.  Serving most recently as chairman of the board of trustees and chairman of the development committee, Mr. Robinson was honored for his service and leadership in HHC’s fundraising efforts.

According to Madelene Francese, Vice President of Development at HHC, Mr. Robinson’s focused leadership and determination to reach HHC’s goals set the tone for the organization’s success.  Over the past four years, he helped to raise more than $4 million in operating support through his work with individuals and businesses.  “Rick’s willingness to discuss fundraising strategy, write solicitation letters and act as an overall advisor for the fundraising effort have enabled Hebrew Health Care to successfully raise funds and friends on behalf of our work,” Ms. Francese said.  “His volunteer commitment has left an indelible mark on this organization.”

Mr. Robinson practices in the area of business litigation including the litigation of construction and employment disputes. He heads Pullman & Comley’s Construction Law and Litigation Section and has successfully resolved hundreds of business litigation cases, both through trial and settlement.  Actively involved in the legal community, Mr. Robinson belongs to several sections of the American Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, and is a James W. Cooper Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation.

In addition to his involvement with Hebrew Health Care, Mr. Robinson has taken leadership roles in his community, including as former president and chairman of the board to the Greater Hartford Jewish Community Center.  He also serves on the board of directors of the Greater Hartford Legal Aid Foundation.
