BRIDGEPORT, Connecticut: Jessica Grossarth, a partner with Pullman & Comley, LLC, has been named chair of the new Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Section of the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA).
The newly formed section, which Ms. Grossarth was instrumental in creating, will provide LGBT attorneys and their supporters with an opportunity to share concerns, communicate, network and build relationships with one another in a supportive forum.
Erick Russell, an associate in the Litigation Department at Pullman & Comley, will serve as treasurer of the new section.
“We are very grateful to the CBA, and president Kim Knox in particular, for their support in developing this section,” said Jessica. “We look forward to collaborating with other CBA sections and outside organizations on substantive LGBT legal issues that affect practice areas such as estate planning, divorce and employee benefits. Our ultimate goal is to create awareness of the legal and non-legal issues that affect the LGBT community and to educate the greater community on those issues.”
At Pullman & Comley, Jessica Grossarth practices in the areas of bankruptcy and creditors’ rights. She represents debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, creditors’ committees and trustees in formal bankruptcy proceedings and out of court workouts. Jessica also represents individuals in family law matters including the dissolution of marriage, alimony, child support, division of property and post-judgment issues.
Jessica serves as chair of the firm’s Orientation and Diversity Committees and also serves as a member of the firm’s Recruiting Committee.
