PRESS RELEASE: Joshua Hawks-Ladds Receives Legacy Award From March Of Dimes
HARTFORD, CT: Pullman & Comley Attorney Joshua Hawks-Ladds was one of eleven individuals recognized at the March of Dimes Connecticut Chapter’s “2012 Volunteers of Excellence” celebration on February 16. A recipient of the Legacy Award, which recognizes those with ongoing commitment to the March of Dimes organization, Hawks-Ladds has been a member of the chapter since 1996, has served as the chair of the board of directors, and currently serves as its chapter counsel.
“It’s an honor to be associated with an organization that provides such invaluable services to mothers, newborn babies and their families,” said Josh, who chairs the Labor and Employment practice at Pullman & Comley. “I look forward to serving the March of Dimes in the upcoming years and to the March for Babies events this spring.
The annual March for Babies walks, held nationwide throughout the spring, support programs that help mothers have healthy, full-term pregnancies. The walks also fund research which finds answers to problems that threaten babies. Connecticut will host a number of walks during April and May; the Greater Hartford walk will be held at Rentschler Field on April 28. Pullman & Comley is a leading supporter of the March for Babies walks.
Josh’s practice includes consulting on and litigating business, construction, labor and employment and civil rights matters and municipal law. He currently serves as Town Counsel to the Town of East Windsor, is a former member of the Town of Bolton Board of Selectman, served on the board of directors for the Community Health Charities of Connecticut and is a Justice of the Peace. Mr. Hawks-Ladds received his J.D. from Western New England University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Connecticut.
