Pullman & Comley Professional Liability Practice Chair David Atkins recently spoke on a panel at the midyear meeting of the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers (APRL)  held in conjunction with the American Bar Association.  The program titled "'Outlaw" or "Artlaw:" Advertising in the Digital Age"" addressed how lawyers struggle to keep pace with changing advertising technology and effective marketing of legal services, in the face of uncertainty in the regulation of lawyer advertising brought about by ongoing First Amendment challenges to such regulations.

David told the conference audience, "Regulators are caught in the tension between the strong demand from political figures, the organized bar, and judges to regulate cheesiness and tastelessness."
