Jon practices in the area of commercial litigation and handles business disputes, commercial foreclosures and bankruptcy-related litigation. He has regularly appeared in state and federal courts, appellate courts as well as bankruptcy courts. Before joining Pullman & Comley, he was with a boutique law firm in Hartford, where he represented secured lenders, mortgage servicers and title insurers in the areas of commercial litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure and the Uniform Commercial Code. He also defended clients from consumer-based claims including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Truth in Lending Act, and the Real Estate Settlement Practices Act.
Earlier in his career, Jon was with a New York law firm where he focused his practice on commercial litigation and bankruptcy. He assisted in the drafting of the Seller's Remedy Manual, a primer for creditors as customers default and file for bankruptcy. Topics covered included pre-bankruptcy state law rights under the Uniform Commercial Code and assumption of contracts in bankruptcy.
Jon received his B.A. from Cornell University in 2002 and his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2005.
