The article points out the confusion that some attorneys feel in applying rules that were developed for verbal and print communication to the new area of social media.
However, Dan points out, "Fifteen years ago people were saying the same thing about e-mail. Eighty years ago they were worried about telephones. Any time there's a new form of communication, there's fear. Yes, social media are different, but there's no reason we can't apply the same rules we've used before."
