PRESS RELEASE: Connecticut Employment Law Blog Named to ABA Journal “Blawg 100"

December 8, 2009

BRIDGEPORT, Conn.:  Editors of the ABA Journal today announced they have selected the Connecticut Employment Law Blog, published by Pullman & Comley attorney Daniel A. Schwartz, as one of the top 100 best blogs by lawyers, for lawyers.

In the Third Annual American Bar Association’s ABA Journal “Blawg 100,” Dan’s blog was listed in the “Geo” or regional category as having "thoughtful, original posts on the latest news and trends in labor and employment law."

“Each year, it’s gotten harder and harder to pick the 100 best blawgs because so many lawyers are now sharing their professional expertise online,” says Edward A. Adams, the Journal’s editor and publisher. “We’ve never had as strong a group of law blogs as we have this year.”

Lawyers may vote on their favorites in each of the Blawg 100’s 10 categories at http://www.abajournal.com/blawg100. Voting ends Dec. 31, 2009.

“I’m humbled to be listed with well-known blogs like The Wall Street Journal’s Law Blog,” says Dan.  “It’s particularly gratifying to see blogs from small states like Connecticut receive national recognition.”

A member of Pullman & Comley’s Labor & Employment practice, Dan has extensive trial and litigation experience in both the federal and state courts in a variety of areas, and represents employers in various employment law matters.  He is based in the firm's Hartford office.  Since 2007, he has been publishing the Connecticut Employment Law Blog to cover new and noteworthy developments in employment law in Connecticut and provide a forum for further debate and exploration of these issues.    Since the blog’s inception, it has received more than 700,000 views.  Earlier this year, Dan was cited for his blog and use of other social media when the ABA Journal named him a "Legal Rebel" – one of only 50 attorneys honored nationwide for bringing innovation and new ideas to the legal profession.
