PRESS RELEASE: T. Scott Cowperthwait Elected to Board of Directors of InfraGard Connecticut

BRIDGEPORT, Conn.:  T. Scott Cowperthwait, an attorney with Pullman & Comley, LLC, has been elected to the board of directors of the Connecticut chapter of InfraGard, the law firm reported today.

InfraGard, a national program created by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 1996, is a collaborative partnership between the public and private sectors dedicated to information sharing and analysis effort to protect critical infrastructure and prevent hostile acts against the United States.  InfraGard Connecticut, which is comprised of approximately 1,000 members representing nearly 600 organizations, focuses on increasing communication between Connecticut-based organizations and between those organizations and the local, state and federal government concerning critical infrastructure and cybersecurity issues, improving security awareness and standards, and protecting against the exploitation of security vulnerabilities.

Mr. Cowperthwait is an attorney in the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection, Litigation, and White Collar Defense and Corporate Investigations practices at Pullman & Comley.  Based in Bridgeport, he focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, white collar criminal defense and corporate internal investigations, and cybersecurity and infrastructure protection issues.  He regularly advises businesses and organizations concerning local, state and government regulations and standards relating to critical infrastructure sectors.
