Celebrating 100 Years with a Year of Service

To our clients and friends,

One hundred years ago, World War I had just ended, women were on the verge of the right to vote and Prohibition was just beginning. Pullman & Comley's founders would marvel at how technology has transformed the pace of business and the practice of law in 2019. But while many things have changed, some important things haven't. Our culture of camaraderie, teamwork and giving back is essential to who we are as a firm.

To celebrate our 100th anniversary, we are pleased to announce that our attorneys and staff will be participating in a "Centennial Year of Service," a year of community service projects throughout Connecticut, in partnership with nonprofits including the Discovery Museum, nOURish, Foodshare, the Center for Children's Advocacy, Junior Achievement, Connecticut Legal Services, Wakeman Boys and Girls Club, the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and the Bridgeport and Hartford public schools, among others.

This is a fitting tribute to our firm's history and culture. From the beginning, our founders were committed to more than simply managing a law practice; over the years, our attorneys and staff have actively given back to the communities where we live and work, through volunteer work, serving in leadership roles in nonprofit organizations, and in public service. We are very proud that although we have grown substantially over the past century, we have retained our strong culture of "pulling together, succeeding together" with our clients, with each other, and with our communities.

The kick-off event is on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 21, at The Discovery Museum in Bridgeport.  Pullman & Comley and the Aquarion Water Company are co-sponsoring a Free Admission Day in honor of the museum’s annual celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Volunteers from Pullman and Aquarion will help the museum with programming that gives children the face-to-face opportunity to see themselves in STEM jobs, and to chat with people doing these important jobs in the local community. For more information, visit the Discovery Museum website here.

Our commitment to our clients, our communities, and each other has been the foundation of our success for 100 years. As we celebrate our anniversary together this year, we thank you, our clients and friends, for being part of our history, and we look forward to building on our legacy in the years to come.
