
Karen Daley practices health care law and represents hospitals, hospital-affiliated organizations, federally qualified health centers, physician groups, ambulance service operators and a regional communication center. She advises her clients in a wide variety of matters including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, HIPAA and HITECH Act compliance, facility licensing, corporate governance, policy review and drafting, and day-to-day patient issues. Karen also negotiates and drafts various agreements, including professional services agreements, equipment leases, 340B pharmacy agreements, collaborative agreements and physician employment agreements.
Prior to joining Pullman & Comley, Karen was the Director of Risk Management and Associate Counsel at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford. Before that, Karen was the Director of Risk Management at Bridgeport Hospital.
Earlier in her career, Karen served as an associate at another Connecticut law firm where she defended medical malpractice cases and represented physicians in proceedings before the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
Karen began her career at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where she was a surgical critical care nurse, trauma outreach nurse and clinical advisor for more than ten years.
