Cara Ann Ceraso is an associate in the Litigation Department. Cara works out of the Stamford and Bridgeport offices representing clients in commercial litigation matters in both state and federal courts in New York and Connecticut. Her practice includes representation of insurers and insureds in coverage disputes, including title insurance coverage disputes, third party coverage disputes, horizontal and vertical coverage allocation litigation, and environmental and toxic tort coverage litigation.  Cara also represents individual and commercial clients in matters involving contract disputes, unfair trade practices, misappropriation of trade secrets and proprietary information, land use, employment disputes, breach of fiduciary duty and mechanic’s liens foreclosures.

Prior to joining Pullman & Comley, Cara gained extensive litigation experience in the areas of insurance coverage and products liability at an international insurance defense firm. Cara also acquired a thorough understanding of estate planning and administration as well as real estate and guardianship matters at a small trusts and estates firm where she began her practice of law in 2004. There she was first exposed to litigation in the probate realm.

  • Represented commercial land developer in action to enforce liquidated damages provision in purchase and sale agreement
  • Represented company in federal court action obtaining temporary restraining order to enjoin computer crimes and theft and misuse of trade secrets
  • Represented abutting landowner defendant in commercial zoning appeal trial in superior court obtaining favorable result to prevent construction of large commercial building on neighboring property
  • Represented employee in age discrimination case against employer through mediation obtaining favorable settlement for employee
